Bramble Lodge is a small co-educational alternative provision for students age 9+. Situated in a rural business park and surrounded by open countryside, Bramble Lodge provides students without a school placement a calm, low-arousal environment in which to access part-time education and opportunities to study for a limited range of GCSE and A-level exams.
Teaching at Bramble Lodge is designed to provide access to a limited curriculum, which enables students to learn core subjects at an age-appropriate level while awaiting a full-time placement. In Key Stages 2 and 3, students are taught in small groups with similar aged peers by specialist teachers from across the Wider Ambition sites. Teaching takes advantage of our purpose-built art, and cooking facilities.
In Key Stages 4 and 5, students are supported to access the curriculum using a hybrid model of online learning and face-to-face teaching in small groups. This model enables students to access education when they are not on-site at Bramble Lodge, where appropriate to their needs.
The admissions criteria for Bramble Lodge are the same as for our full-time sites. Bramble Lodge is available for students who would otherwise be out of education and for students who are on our waiting list for a full-time placement at another site.
