Wider Ambition runs small co-educational day settings for academically able students with autism, anxiety or related needs. We offer a carefully designed curriculum which recognises students’ individual strengths and interests, with a model of adapted teaching and integrated support that facilitates academic and holistic achievements.
Students benefit from high staff to student ratios and small teaching groups, with highly-skilled specialist staff and on-site therapists. Our curriculum delivery for Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students aims to prepare students for higher education, via a hybrid model of online resources, supported study and face-to-face teaching, alongside individual support with life skills, careers and university applications.
Our gentle therapy dogs support student wellbeing across our sites. We work closely with students, families, and professionals to tailor the provision to each student, listening carefully and offering flexible solutions to give every student the opportunity to thrive.
Our settings are set in beautiful spaces and overlook open countryside, allowing our curriculum to embrace opportunities for outdoor learning. The calm feel of our rural surroundings is reflected in our low-sensory, uncrowded premises, where students benefit from individual workspaces and easy access to sensory rooms.
We celebrate all forms of personal growth and recognise the achievement of students developing resilience and independence. Alongside a challenging and ambitious academic curriculum, we provide a holistic approach which encourages every student to identify and realise their aspirations for the future.
